Title: Synthesis of Phosphorus-based Nano Materials by the Pulsed LaserAblation Method and its Application for Energy Storages

Abstract

A pulsed laser ablation method is a highly efficient route for the scalable production of phosphorus-based nanomaterials including black phosphorus (BP) and red phosphorus (RP). Depending on the laser irradiation time, energy, and solvent type in low‐boiling point solvents, elemental P-based materials can be precisely controlled for their layer number and size from bulk P materials. The process is utilized by a plasma quenching mechanism and interlayer interaction weakened by the in situ generated vapor bubbles. The excellent control of the BP and RP enables morphological effects on Li‐based secondary battery performance to be studied. In this work, BP and RP are used as an active material for Li-ion battery and a conducting interlayer with CNT for Li-S battery, resulting in excellent electrochemical performances and catalytic properties, respectively.
